Visual Stories and Long-Term Projects

A curated portfolio of visual stories and long-term projects.
Through these works, I aim to document fragments of everyday life and transform them into quiet narratives shaped by time, memory and emotion.

Street Photography in Brighton | Humans by the Sea

Humans by the Sea tells the everyday life of Brighton where the street becomes a stage without a script. Along the promenade and by the sea, in the fog or under the bright light of summer, people move, pause, play, and dream. Through small gestures, humour, solitude, and coincidence, these unfiltered moments reveal the humanity of a city that never stands still. Shot entirely with a Ricoh GR IIIx, the series blends irony and poetry to portray the pulse of a seaside town constantly reinventing itself.

Upward Gaze

This project was created in Putignano (70017), my hometown, shortly after my father passed away.
I carried the camera with me as I walked through streets I knew by heart, yet they felt altered, quieter, heavier.
Instead of looking ahead, I found myself looking upward.
The sky became a place to rest, to breathe, to remember. Rooflines, balconies, antennas, facades — all forms lifting toward a vast, luminous space.
Each photograph holds a fragment of memory, a pause in time where grief and clarity coexist.

Upward Gaze continues the visual language begun in A di Underground, where elevation and perspective shaped the relationship between the body, the city, and the invisible.
Here, the ascent is not physical but emotional.

Captured with the Ricoh GR IIIx, the series embraces intimacy and presence — the camera close to the chest, the image found in silence rather than pursuit.
It is a quiet homage: to a person, to a place, to the sky that stays.

The Green Oasis

Ruigoord is a small village inside the city of Amsterdam — a place that was never meant to exist.
In the 1960s, the city planned to expand the port, but in 1972 a group of artists and squatters occupied the area and turned it into an eco-sustainable art community.

After resisting eviction in 1997, the village was officially legalized in 2000.
Ruigoord is an imaginary oasis surrounded by fields and industrial landscapes. The houses are built with recycled materials and powered by alternative energy.

Art is at the heart of this community. It transforms what could have been “no place” into a living utopia — a place where creativity, nature, and freedom come together.

Play Off

Modern football has its roots in 1863, but in the outskirts of cities very little has changed since then.
On the streets and in open fields, the boundaries never really mattered. Even without real goals, the sound of a shout — “Goal!” — was enough to make the game real.

Over time, football has become serious, commercial, and sometimes even a source of fear or conflict. But on the ground, on the earth we share — regardless of color, culture, or language — the game remains the same.

Play Off looks at football from inside these everyday spaces. A point of view from the penalty spot of different peripheries, cultures, and religions — all connected by the same heart.

A di Underground

Walking through the streets of my city, the gaze lifts only for a moment.
It no longer searches for the theatre’s beauty or the white walls of the old houses — it has known decay for years.
Step by step, my eyes follow what the light leaves on the ground:
shadows, the negative shapes of passing souls.
From above, reality becomes something else — filtered through my inner vision. Here, animate and inanimate are the same. The city is alive, changing form and characters with every hour of the day. The manhole doesn’t hide — it reveals what lies below. The street becomes a canvas of light. There is no difference between a window on the first floor and a stain of sun on the pavement. Everything exists on the same stage. In this small Divine Comedy, our shadows meet: sometimes they form stories, sometimes they remain alone — like graffiti on the city walls.

Reflections from the highest terrace in the Province of Bari [70017].

MUSIC, ART & PLAGIARISM

Andy Warhol, Banana, the velvet underground, Music, Art, Plagiarism, music art e plagiarism, Brighton, UK, Alessandro Intini, photographer, artist, fotografi da Museo Bari, Brighton photographers, Absolut Vodka, Gianluca Grignani

This work is a tribute to Andy Warhol and Pop Art. It is playful, bright, and immediate — a way to reframe one of the most iconic albums in music history: “The Velvet Underground & Nico”, with its famous banana cover by Warhol. In this piece, I bring together two of my biggest passions: music and photography. The image of the strangled banana becomes both a sign of protest during times of crisis and a reminder that creativity can still offer hope. Art and music continue to speak, even when everything else feels silent.
Happy listening.
