The Green Oasis

Ruigoord is a village within the city of Amsterdam that should never have existed. In the 1960s it was planned to expand the port of Amsterdam, however in 1972 a group of squatters occupied this area and created an eco-sustainable art-colony.

After resisting eviction in 1997, the area was legalized in 2000. Ruigoord is an imaginary oasis, surrounded by green and industrial buildings of a desolate area. Houses are built with recycled materials and powered by alternative energy sources. Art is the fulcrum of this community that combines Utopia and Eutopia in reality and makes a “non-place” a “beautiful place”.

Play Off

Modern football's enters its roots into the Earth since 1863... from then on just a little has changed in the periphery. The lines, the border areas have never been important in the matches among friends. Even without a football goal, a noise was enough to excite us and crying out loud "Goal". Through the years, football has become something "serious", which can be frightening and often it becomes a reason to chronicle or a place of terror... "regardless of the color of earth." Play Off is the point of view from the penalty spot of opposite peripheries, cultures, religions but belonging to the same heart. Location: Marrakech (MA), Ouarzazate (MA), Brighton (UK), Shoreham (UK).

A di Underground

Walking by the streets of my city, the gaze is turned upward for a short time, it is not captured by the beauty of the theater or the white of the historic houses, for years it knows degradation. Step by step, the eyes stop repeatedly on what the light impress on the road: the shadows, the negative of souls. From the top I crush reality, through the "il mio filtro animico," in another dimension. Animate and inanimate make no difference, the city is alive, it changes shape and protagonists. The manhole does not hide but shows a level below, everything becomes "underground", there is no difference between the first floor of a house and the street drawn as a canvas by the light. In this "Divine Comedy" our shadows meet, become stories or remain alone ... as graffiti in the city !!!

[B.A.R]

BAR is the most POPular word in the world, a crossing point where different street cultures can meet, it comes from the term "barred". In the past some wooden planks were nailed on the doors of the shops where the word "barred” was drawn with lime.
The acronym B.A.R, [Berlin, Amsterdam, Rome] is a metropolitan trip with no barriers with the intent to paint something which remembers the etymology of the term.

MUSIC, ART & PLAGIARISM

This artwork is a tribute to Andy Warhol and Pop Art. It is a fleeting, playful, vibrant and popular way to contextualize one of the best album in music scene which is “The Velvet Underground & Nico - Cover by Andy Warhol” (a great example of combination between art and music). In this artwork I mixed two of my big passions: music and photography. The represantation of a strangled banana is a sign of protest against crisis and also a way to give people hope through the expression of art and music. Happy listening!!!
